The Cincinnati Observatory is continuing its new lineup of classes instructed by astronomer Dr. Wes Ryle. This offering is a one-shot, involving a single self-contained course on a topic of interest. This course is intended for astronomy enthusiasts ages 14 and up.

Exploring the Cosmos with JWST

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was launched in 2021 as a successor to the Hubble Space Telescope and a critical tool for the future of astronomy. In just a few years, it has already delivered breath-taking imagery along with exciting new insights to our Universe. This course will explore the development of JWST, its instrumentation, and all of the latest discoveries, including how these discoveries are reshaping our understanding of a variety of astronomical phenomena.

Classes will be held in-person at the observatory. Pricing details are below:
